Towards Reactive Semantic Web Policies— Motivation Scenario and Implementation Details

چکیده
The Semantic Web envisions a distributed environment with well-defined data that can be understood and used by machines in order to, among others, allow intelligent agents to automatically perform tasks on our behalf. In the past, different Semantic Web policy languages have also been described as a powerful means to describe a system’s behavior by defining statements about how the system must behave under different conditions and situations. With the growing dynamics of the Semantic Web the need for a reactive control based on changing and evolving situations arises. This paper presents a framework for the specification and enforcement of reactive semantic web policies, which can be used in order to allow agents to automatically perform advanced and powerful tasks, which can not be addressed neither by existing Semantic Web policy languages nor by recent efforts towards reactivity on the Semantic Web.

Towards Reactive Semantic Web Policies: Advanced Agent Control for the Semantic Web
The Semantic Web envisions a distributed environment with well-defined data that can be understood and used by machines. This machine-understandable knowledge allows intelligent agents to automatically take decisions and perform tasks on our behalf. In the past, different Semantic Web policy languages have been developed as a powerful means to describe a system’s behavior by defining statements...
متن کاملAdvanced Semantic Web Policies: Evolution, Reactivity, and Priorities
Semantic Web policies are statements that define the behavior of a system acting on the Semantic Web. It turned out that current policy frameworks lack important features in both, their representation and their reasoning facilities. They typically do not allow for dynamics such as evolution, i.e., the consistent modification of the policy while it is evaluated at the same time, and reactivity, ...
متن کاملReactive Policies for the Semantic Web
Semantic Web policies are general statements defining the behavior of a system that acts on behalf of real users. These policies have various applications ranging from dynamic agent control to advanced access control policies. Although policies attracted a lot of research efforts in recent years, suitable representation and reasoning facilities allowing for reactive policies are not likewise de...
متن کاملMediating Semantic Web Service Access using the Semantic Firewall
As the technical infrastructure to support Grid environments matures, attention should focus on providing dynamic access to services, whilst ensuring such access is appropriately monitored and secured. Access policies may be dynamic, whereby intra-organisational workflows define local knowledge that could be used to establish appropriate credentials necessary to access the desired service. We d...
متن کاملAHP Techniques for Trust Evaluation in Semantic Web
The increasing reliance on information gathered from the web and other internet technologies raise the issue of trust. Through the development of semantic Web, One major difficulty is that, by its very nature, the semantic web is a large, uncensored system to which anyone may contribute. This raises the question of how much credence to give each resource. Each user knows the trustworthiness of ...
